Within the framework of the project “Social goals in sustainable green growth in Vietnam” implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with the German International Development Cooperation (GIZ), Truong Dao training and retraining civil servants, labor – social affairs in collaboration with the Legal Department, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs and the GIZ Office in Hanoi to organize a training course on policy impact assessment on Social and gender issues for local officials from July 21-23, 2020, in Hoa Binh.

Speaking at the opening of the training class, Dr. Nguyen Thi Van, Vice Rector in charge of the School of Training and fostering cadres and civil servants, emphasized the overall goal of the training program to improve the capacity of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. associations, ministries and agencies at both central and provincial levels in the preparation and development of gender and social impact assessment (SIA/GIA) studies and reports and in the management of the SIA/GIA process. This activity directly addresses the goal of strengthening the capacity of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and departments at the provincial level in applying SIA/GIA in the development, implementation and evaluation process. policy.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Van, the analysis and assessment of policy impacts on society and gender is extremely important not only for cadres and civil servants directly involved in the development and implementation of legal documents. law, but also important for ministries, departments and branches in the process of consulting to develop Law projects…
The training program on assessing the impact of the policy will take place in 2.5 days (July 21-23, 2020). on society and gender followed by an exchange, discussion and problem-solving session. After the course, students who fully attend the program and test their knowledge will be granted a certificate of course completion by the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs and the Project.
